A truly lovely set of 4 vintage thonet no. 5 chairs in black with webbing seats and backs.
these chairs were produced in the 1970's by zpm radomsko in poland.
radomsko originally was a real thonet factory founded around 1900. When communism came to poland, the factory was expropriated and nationalised and named zpm radomsko. But they kept on producing the original thonet-designs using the famous thonet-machines to steam and bend the beechwood.
the chairs are in very good vintage condition. Some really minor wear and tear, but all according to its age, adding to the already wonderful patina.
on all 4 chairs the lovely lightweight construction is perfect, and the cane webbing seats also very good, with only minor flaws, yet completely coherent, firm and comfy. This piece has an attribution mark,
i am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
