In this design, he emphasized the … Read more In 1967, Pierre Chapo designed the S24 chair for his friend, Dr. Hiroshi Nakajima. In this design, he emphasized the strength of half-lap joints at the corners to ensure the rigidity of a chair with a very clean, minimalist line. The only decorative elements are the reinforcements at the joints between the seat frame and the legs, made up of exposed Allen screws; the same is true for the backrest. The leather seat is held taut by a clever cord weave underneath.

This chair is in very good condition, perfectly stable and comfortable. It has undergone light maintenance restoration (waxing of the wood and leather).
