Large and impressive table lamp in glazed ceramic in ochre tones of yellow, orange, brown, and green. Designed by the Italian ceramist Aldo Londi for Bitossi in the early 1960s. The lamp base is made of wood with a slightly golden patina. The lamp head also terminates in a piece of wood with the same finish, to which the E27 socket is attached.
Superb condition, no chips or cracks. No significant flaws except for a few minor firing imperfections in the glaze, which are consistent with the overall rustic appearance.
Electrification in perfect working order, likely recent, with elegant twisted fabric wiring.
Lamp sold without a lampshade. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution,
