Very large antique deep dish, ironstone, late 19th century Art Nouveau style, signed Sarreguemines, from the iconic “Carmen” collection.
Exquisitely delicate decoration of a butterfly flying among flowers and foliage. The rim features a vegetal frieze.
Its generous size makes it a centerpiece that will bring considerable charm and refinement to any space.
It is in very good condition, with no cracks or chips. There is some minor rubbing on the base. A manufacturing flaw in the glaze on the rim is present but not weakened.
