A 18k silver (700) lidded tureen from the hutschenreuther metalworks. Elegant, classic design with beautiful art deco handles, crafted with excellent workmanship. Patina present.
the name "hutschenreuther metalworks" refers to c. F. Hutschenreuther & co. Kg in aue, which was founded as a metalworks in the 19th century but later separated from porcelain production.
the main hutschenreuther brand, however, stands for porcelain, which has been produced in bavaria since 1814, is now part of the rosenthal group, and is headquartered in selb.
