These modular elements are part of the iconic String series designed in the early 1960s by Kajsa & Nisse Strinning. Responding to the need for repeatable modules to define space, these light and elegant shelves represented a quintessentially Scandinavian response to the need for standardization that design was seeking at the time. The set consists of four load-bearing painted metal elements and four shelves with hooks to create shelves. The side elements include one with 14 positions and one with 4. They can be positioned side by side or stacked. The vintage condition is very good, with some light signs of age and use. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
