It has been freshly painted with chalk paint, but the shabby chic look has revealed all previous layers of paint. Likewise, old imperfections have been preserved; its age is meant to be visible. The top and middle shelves are not original. I would describe the color as a very delicate pastel green. The shelves have been protected with water-based clear varnish, the rest with wax. See less
