Elio Bellora, an artist from Lucca, worked in the 1970s on a series of allegorical portraits depicting important Italian and, more often, Tuscan figures. This portrait of an unidentified Luccan figure depicts her against a backdrop of the city of Lucca and its most iconic monuments, forming a crown. The Futurist style, or more generally, the avant-garde movements of the early 20th century, are strongly echoed in Bellora's work, as can also be seen in the other prints featured in other articles.
