These wall lamps are a perfect example of Italian design from the 1970s, a period characterized by organic shapes, innovative materials, and a particular focus on light. The style is in line with the radical design movement, which emphasized the artist's craftsmanship and expressiveness. The wall lamps are composed mainly of two materials: i) glass is the undisputed protagonist. The amber hue and irregularities of the surface suggest craftsmanship, probably molded or free-blown. The air bubbles trapped in the glass give depth and movement to the surface; ii) the base and supporting structure are made of metal, which provides the necessary stability and creates an interesting contrast with the transparency of the glass. In addition to being a design object, these wall lights offer a warm, diffused light, ideal for creating a welcoming and intimate atmosphere. The light, filtering through the colored glass, creates very evocative shadows and reflections.
