This is a unique Spanish Revival style wine bottle holder popular in the mid to late 20th century. Handcrafted from solid wood with a rustic, dark, earthy brown finish. The top rail has scalloped irregular edging with aged brass decorations, the sides have a fish tale-like carving detail and the middle section has three circular cut outs centered to hold three full size bottles of wine. There are small stout legs supporting the vessel.
This piece has an ancient, Old World charm flair and would be a "keeper" for yourself or filled with bottles of wine for that perfect host/hostess gift. When not holding wine this would be an exceptional piece for holding a loaf of bread, or a bouquet of dried flowers on a kitchen island with its' ample interior space.
