Containing the Rage is a unique figurative work by Galician sculptor Óscar Aldonza, created entirely through the lost wax process, preserving every gesture and mark from the original wax model. Measuring 55 × 28 × 17 cm, the elongated figure reveals a moment of internal conflict, held in suspension, where energy and restraint coexist. Aldonza’s expressionist language is grounded in material honesty: the rough surface, the irregular anatomy and the oxidized patina intensify the emotional charge of the piece.
