This rare tray, made in Venice in the 1940s, is the result of a refined collaboration between Archimede Seguso and Barovier & Toso. The rim is made of Murano glass with a “Torchon” effect, a process that creates a striking, luminous, three-dimensional weave. The nickel-plated brass handles add an elegant and functional touch. The glass top is finely engraved with a courtship scene in an elite setting, where a lady and a gentleman meet amidst floral arabesques and decorative motifs. A perfect balance between art and craftsmanship, typical of Venetian production of the period. The tray is in excellent condition, with a small, localized, restorable break on the back of the glass, which does not compromise the stability or overall aesthetic of the piece. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
