Original lithograph in 12 colors on wove paper, signed and monogrammed in red in the lower left corner of the plate. Titled "Sunset – The Magic of the Hours," it is plate no. 2 and belongs to a series of 16 lithographs, each printed in 12 colors, published by Eugène Verneau in 1901 in an edition of 1,000. Source: BnF: "Henri Rivière, between Impressionism and Japonism" (p. 155). It is framed and under glass. The Japanese-style frame is made of wood imitating bamboo.
Note a crease in the lower left corner and some yellowing.

Henri Rivière (1864-1951), French painter, engraver, and illustrator. He began his career with drawing, then intaglio engraving, specifically etching in 1882. He also created sets for theatres. This piece has an attribution mark,
