Pair of Delft Imari ceramic vases by Jaap Heinen, produced at Heinen Delfts Blauw in Putten, circa 1980s. Each vessel is hand-painted in the Pijnacker-style palette—cobalt blue, iron-red, and gilt tones on a cream ground—drawing on Dutch interpretations of Japanese Imari. The two forms create an intentionally irregular pair, with related but distinct panels and floral reserves.
Transformed into table lamps by Amitābha Studio, the bases are finished with custom-cut brass fittings, braided navy cords, and bespoke Japanese block-print fabric shades in navy and gold, edged with Houlès passementerie trim. The graphic wave pattern of the shades echoes the rhythmic borders on the vases, bringing a refined, East-meets-West dialogue to consoles, bedside tables, and living rooms.
