A very rare early w. H. Gispen nr. ‘3059’ pendant lamp in nickel-plated metal. The netherlands, 1930s. Beautiful and timeless art deco design with a fluted base and a hanging uplighter shade. Great patina and well lived appearance. Can be found in the 1938 gispen / giso (the lighting department) brochure - but presumably was designed earlier on in the 1930s. A stunning design. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution,
