author alberto ferrero (turin, 1883 – 1963) was a piedmontese painter who trained at the accademia albertina in turin. His work is mainly linked to landscape painting, with views of the piedmont hills, monferrato, and langhe, often treated with soft and luminous tones, in a post-impressionist style with a calm and lyrical taste. He regularly participated in exhibitions organized by the società promotrice delle belle arti in turin and other regional exhibitions in the early 20th century, gaining recognition in the local art scene. He lived and worked for many years in moncalieri, where he was a leading figure in the piedmontese landscape painting tradition. He is remembered as a sensitive interpreter of the hilly landscape, rendered with compositional balance and attention to atmospheric variations.
