Large enamel hanging sign in glossy white with cobalt-blue characters and a red rising-sun emblem.
The text reads 朝日新聞 (Asahi Shimbun) — one of Japan’s best-known daily newspapers. The sign is single-sided with nicely rounded edges and the characteristic sheen of true enamel.
Age is beautifully visible: edge chips, rust marks around the mounting holes, a few dents and light scratches, all consistent with use and period. The colours remain strong and graphically bold, making this a very decorative piece.
