Produced in sweden during the 1960-70s, this fixture exemplifies the raw, expressive design language of the nordic brutalist movement. The structure features a heavy, hand-wrought cast iron frame with an organic, rough-textured finish. A thick, amber-hued murano glass shade is embedded within the ironwork, acting as a focal point that diffuses light to create a warm, atmospheric glow. The tension between the industrial, rugged metal and the delicate, organic glass characterizes ahlström & ehrlich’s most sought-after work. Excellent vintage condition. The iron retains its original dark patina, and the glass is free from cracks or chips.
