Glazed ceramic pendant lamp by Tilgmans Keramik, Sweden, attributed to Marian Zawadzki, 1950s/1960s. Lampshade decorated with sgraffito butterflies and leaves; teak collar.
Elegant glazed ceramic pendant lamp by "Tilgmans Keramik," attributed to Marian Zawadzki and made between the 1950s and 1960s. The conical lampshade features a rich sgraffito decoration with butterflies and botanical motifs, typical of the Gothenburg manufacturing style of the period. The glossy surface and polychrome colors—on a deep blue background—converse with the turned teak collar, a warm detail that harks back to the Scandinavian sensibility for natural materials. The clear enamel interior provides a soft, diffused light.
