In 1956, Franco Albini used the lightweight vertical upright to design a bookcase conceived as a ceiling-to-floor structure that could also serve as a double-sided partition. The bookcase was awarded the Gold Medal Diploma at the "Colors and Forms in Today's Home" exhibition held at Villa Olmo in Como (1957); it is featured in the Poggi company catalogue and has been produced by Cassina since 2008.
