antique, circa 1850, in dark walnut with green accents and decorative details, restored to be a unique piece. In person, the cabinet looks absolutely charming and much more beautiful than i can show in pictures.

at the bottom are two doors with a shelf. Above the doors, the cabinet is open with one narrow and one regular shelf. The shelves are set into the sides and cannot be adjusted. The top is flat and can also be used as a surface for storage or decoration.

i simply had to rescue this small, very old cabinet and left it in its simple, rustic wooden style, which is precisely what gives it its charm. However, i brightened it with a light sage green color, 3d plaster flower decorations on the doors, and decorative patterns on the sides, all hand-painted in the style common in the mid-1800s and earlier.

on a light or white wall, the cabinet looks magnificent. It truly comes into its own with light or white dishes or books inside.

\. The intermediate height measurements of the shelves are:
narrow shelf at the very top: 25 cm,
front: 42 cm
middle shelf at the top: 30 cm
bottom shelf inside: top: 32 cm, bottom: 35 cm

condition:

the cabinet has many small old dents and nicks, which are typical of a rustic cabinet like this. There are also some minor wood chips on the sides and back, but these are not at all noticeable. The cabinet is made entirely of solid wood, very sturdy, mortise and tenon joints, and will surely last another 300 years. The doors were probably added later.

i replaced the old, rusty door hinges and also installed new door panels.

the cabinet is now in beautiful, ready-to-use condition. See less
