Tanzgruppe mit Dudelsackpfeifer – Dance Group with Bagpipes. A 19th-century wax model of Nordic origin. Polychrome wax composition depicting a genre scene with four figures dressed in 17th-century attire, depicted in a festive moment. The two figures on the left are dancing, while the two musicians seated on a bench on the right of the composition are playing wind instruments. At the center of this rectangular wax painting, resting on the grass, is a large jug with the initials LMM. The figures have no background as they are placed on a wax surface.
The frame is made of ochre-lacquered wood with green internal trim. In good condition. On the back is a typewritten label with the German title No. 132 Tanzgruppe mit Dudelsackpfeifer – Dance Group with Bagpipes.
