This piece is a prime example of mid-century Mexican modernism, where glass craftsmanship meets a Brutalist aesthetic. The lamp comprises a dark metal frame, likely wrought iron, supporting an assembly of numerous hand-blown glass components. Unlike Derflingher's well-known "imprisoned glass" technique, this design utilizes thick, rectangular "baguettes" or tiles of glass. Each individual piece is suspended from the frame through a hole at the top, creating a three-tiered, conical waterfall composition. The color palette is distinctive of Feders, combining vibrant shades of cobalt blue, amber, and ruby ​​red with dark smoked glass. Internal lighting projects light through these textured glass pieces, creating a dramatic and warm effect. The metal frame retains an original rustic patina, consistent with the style and period, circa 1960-1970.
