Dora Maar (1907–1997), born Henriette Theodora Markovic´, was a celebrated photographer, poet, and painter, most famously known as Pablo Picasso’s muse during the late 1930s and for her involvement in his Guernica. While she gained initial fame through her association with Picasso, Maar’s body of work—particularly her photography and later her paintings—establishes her as an important artist in her own right. This rare pointillist drawing is a unique opportunity to own a piece of art from a pivotal figure in 20th-century modernism, whose legacy continues to inspire. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
