this rare model t353 pendant lamp was designed by renowned swedish lighting designer hans-agne jakobsson and produced by ab ellysett in markaryd. The lamp carries the original maker’s stamp, confirming its authenticity and distinguishing it from later ikea-licensed productions.

crafted from paper-thin pine veneer, the shade is formed from three bent veneer slats fixed around three solid pine profiles, creating the warm, organic silhouette that is characteristic of jakobsson’s early work. Because the veneer is exceptionally thin, light filters through with a soft, ambient glow while also acting as a gentle downlight. The natural wood grain and sculptural form make it a standout example of scandinavian mid-century craftsmanship.

a white-painted metal top plate (1 mm), secured with three brass screws, sits below a 16 cm turned pine stem featuring a clever integrated wire channel. The lamp retains its original black bakelite e27 socket, and the pine construction is held together with small brass tacks. It has been newly rewired and fitted with a new ceiling canopy for safe contemporary use.
