Table lamp, model 338, designed by Oscar Torlasco for Lumi, Milan, in 1956.
The lamp is made of brass with original patina and has a leather-covered stem.
The diffuser is made of optical glass, and there is a brass lampshade.
The lamp features dual lighting and is tiltable and adjustable.
Oscar Torlasco was a designer in Italy in the 1950s and 1960s. In 1959, he won the Italian Design Compasso d'Oro award for his street lamp, entitled “Genova 4053”. The optical lenses featured in his lamps are his signature feature. Torlasco designed for light bulb companies in Italy, such as Lumi and Stilkronen.
