One fundamental idea that R & K Principal, Jahanshah Nazmiyal has long taught to his colleagues and teammates is that the best handmade modern rugs are made after one masters the classics. This piece is our collection’s contribution to classic styles reinterpreted completely in a modern fashion, reflecting a modern interpretation of “ushak” design, sometimes spelled “Oushak” in our craft.

Teeming with simplicity, this piece features an ivory field with beige, green and cream floral patterns. The weave is particularly fine, too—a luxurious new contribution to Oushak designs, as the silk’s gentle, natural sheen and its play with the light.
