Four vintage Italian wrought-iron klismos–curule chairs, stamped Made in Italy and purchased there in the mid 70s.
These sculptural chairs combine classical inspiration with modern Italian craftsmanship. Each chair features an elegant curule-style X-base, a gently curved slatted seat, and a minimalist three-bar backrest—creating a silhouette that’s both architectural and timeless.
Constructed from very heavy, solid iron with visible hand-forged details, they have a beautiful dark iron patina that adds depth and character. Substantial, sturdy, and highly decorative, they work equally well as dining chairs, accent chairs, or statement pieces in an entryway or gallery-like space.
Italian wrought-iron seating from this era is increasingly hard to find, especially in complete sets of four. These chairs blend seamlessly with neoclassical, industrial, modern, and transitional interiors.
