Simple, vibrant & functional

Originally launched in 1970, the Toucan (Tucano or Cocori) desk / table / bedside lamp represents the first example of a lamp intended for young children. Enea Ferrari, founder of Old Timer Ferrari and Linea Zero, imagined representing a toucan in a linear and essential form , but with really intense colours, capturing the interest of children and later loved among all design enthusiasts of the 70s Space Age design.
The beak of the Toucan can swivel, which changes the light intensity.
The iconic Toucan lamp is back on the market in a brand-new version with integrated 3W LED, USB-C 5V input for power supply and an ON/OFF touch dimmer.

Powered via USB-C (power adapter and cable are NOT INCLUDED) to make it as universal as possible
You can easily connect the USB-C cable to a common smartphone charger, a laptop or a small power bank to use it anywhere you want
Linea Zero has chosen NOT TO INCLUDE a power adapter and cable with the lamp, as by now it's expected that most people have a USB-C cable at home, which you can use for the lamp. Toucan doesn't necessarily need to be powered by a brick. You could also power it by your laptop, your smartphone, or a power bank to use it anywhere you want.

Enea Ferrari (1938–2020) was an Italian designer and founder of Linea Zero, a company celebrated for its playful and innovative lighting designs. Starting his career in 1964 with Old Timer Ferrari, he combined craftsmanship with experimentation in materials like polypropylene, introducing creativity and color into everyday objects.
His most iconic creation, the Tucano lamp (1970), became a symbol of Italian design for children — simple, vibrant, and functional. Over the decades, Ferrari designed numerous imaginative lamps that balanced art and industrial design, helping establish Linea Zero as a reference point in Made in Italy lighting. His legacy endures in the brand’s continued focus on creativity, innovation, and emotional design.

Linea Zero & Old Timer Ferrari: Linea Zero is an interior lighting company founded in Verona in 1973 by Enea Ferrari. The company’s history actually has its roots even earlier, in 1964, when Enea himself founded Old Timer Ferrari (OTF) together with his father. The company specialises in the production of objects, accessories and plastic lighting. Later, the focus was shifted entirely to the production of children’s lamps. It was at this point that the now anachronistic name changed from Old Timer Ferrari to Linea Zero. In its 50-year history, the company has evolved considerably and now mainly produces contemporary and functional design-oriented lamps. Linea Zero’s products are entirely Made in Italy, allowing the company to closely follow the entire production process.
