Made in one of the most important pottery/ironstone producers of the late 19th century in East Liverpool, Ohio, this Knowles, Taylor & Knowles semi-vitreous porcelain pitcher is a beauty. An unusually simple design for KT&K, this large wash basin pitcher features a scalloped rim, embossed scrollwork, and the classic blue backstamp on bottom. Antique creamy hue with a natural age patina.
Shows one-of-a-kind staining, oxidation, and crazing all consistent with age. No cracks or chips. 12" height x 10" width. A lovely piece of American pottery.
