This wonderful pottery bowl was created by well known artist (American/Chicago b. 1947) Mary K. Seyfarth. Seyfarth was educated at the University of Illinois where she obtained her MBA. She is currently active in her Chicago studio creating rather significant art forms including large outdoor sculptures and bowls, such as this one.
The bowl was hand-made on a potters wheel with terra-cotta clay, along with a yellow glaze and pigments of green dots in 2015. It is titled by the artist “Yellow Waves”.
It is in perfect condition and never used. It measures 4” high X 13” in diameter, perfect for placement as a center piece on your dining room table. It is obviously large enough for fresh fruit, lemons and limes or it has a small hole on the rim for hanging on the wall. It is signed with the artists mark, MKS.
Aside from the photos of the bowl there is a picture of the artist Mary K. Seyfarth in her studio.
