The design bridges the aerodynamic curves of Streamlined Moderne with functional Scandinavian elegance. The solid beech wood frames feature a distinctive "waisted" back and yoke-shaped (sometimes referred to as "mustache") top rail, retaining a warm, honey-toned patina.

The set has undergone a complete professional restoration by our in-house workrooms. All internal padding and foam has been replaced and they have been reupholstered in a lustrous, mossy green stain-resistant performance velvet. Coordinating faux leather welt (piping) trims the upholstery for a crisp, tailored look. The upholstery fabric is unused and flawless.

These elegant dining chairs were produced by Svenska Möbelfabrikerna (SMF) in Bodafors, a town synonymous with the golden age of Swedish furniture. SMF was renowned for bridging the gap between fine traditional craftsmanship and modern industrial techniques—a commitment to quality that attracted top architects like Larsson and won the factory international acclaim, including a gold medal at the 1925 Paris Exhibition.

This design embodies the concept of “Folkhemmet” (translation: the people’s home). This era of design represented a cultural shift toward accessible, harmonious living.
