I paint with watercolor that comes in pans like you remember from elementary school, but I also use watercolor pencils and sticks to draw with. I use acrylics that come from a tube, but I also use acrylic paint markers to make uniform lines. I use both types of paint at the same time, building up alternating layers. I paint on wooden panel because I need a smooth and rigid surface for my techniques.

I make paintings of the spaces where people live because it gives me the opportunity to paint geometric shapes, organic shapes, and pattern. This is still interesting to me as a painter, and regardless of how chaotic the scene is in my painting, the architectural cues (windows, fireplaces, staircases), allow the viewer to make sense of what's happening.
