A set of handsome, large, hand-painted Chinese Rose Medallion porcelain table lamps. Two similar hand decorated Chinese vases were converted into these stately lamps.
Each lamp has a wooden hand-carved base which are similar, but like the vases themselves, not identical. The decoration is colorful and detailed and decorated in the traditional fashion. Each lamp has a glass pineapple finial.
The vases were likely converted into lamps in the mid 1900s. It is believed, but not confirmed, that the vases themselves were originally purchased as antiques. The lamps were serviced and rewired within the last five years.
The elegant lamp shades are made of string and lined in fabric in a style that was very sought after at the time and maintains its attractiveness and appeal today. The scalloped edges make the string shades more difficult to construct and therefore more rare and prized.

Shades are 18 inches in diameter and 15 inches tall.
