Florence A. Cowles (1878-1958) was an American journalists and cookbook author. Cowles was praised for her work in the early development of the American sandwich varieties. In a review done by Washington D.C.'s Evening Star of 1001 Sandwiches, they said the book has "almost limitless variety." Her recipes are still used in delis amd restaurants all over the world!
