The work follows … Read more Beautiful large vintage Indian Pichwai-style painting, created in the 1970s, depicting Shreenathji (Krishna) surrounded by sacred cows. The work follows traditional Pichwai iconography which is a devotional art form from Nathdwara, Rajasthan characterized by warm ochre tones, hand-painted borders, floral motifs, and detailed spiritual storytelling. The central figure of Krishna is richly adorned, painted in the classic deep indigo associated with Shreenathji. Surrounding him are meticulously rendered cows, each accented with hand-painted symbolic marks. The entire composition is bordered by a vibrant floral and leaf motif, framed again by a red cloth mat that enhances the depth and color of the piece. The artwork is professionally framed behind glass. The artwork is in good condition and the frame shows some wear (please see pictures).
