The woman’s body is nude. You see her shape and her features through relief carving in the matte black material. Unsure of what the material is either a cast metal, or another heavy medium that could be sculpted (ie resin would not be this heavy). The reclining lady is in an elegant pose, holding or resting the lamps glob (glass light shade) on her right foot. Like a goddess would! The glass shade is about 5” diameter.
This is a beautician example of the 1970s art deco revival design trend, which fit in masterfully with the florals and motifs of the post- hippie era. She’s a graceful and peaceful nymph producing soft light in your home! See less
