An exceptional ceramic table lamp by the celebrated Italian master Bruno Gambone (1936-2021). Handcrafted in his Florence studio circuit 1970-1980 this piece is a quintessential example of Gambone’s “Organic Modern” period.
The lamp features a sculptural, amphora form. The upper portion is finished in a deeply textured “volcanic” chocolate brown glaze that provides a striking tactile contrast to the smooth “oatmeal” flecked stoneware of the lower body.
The piece is notable for its remarkable condition. It comes complete with a vintage pleated string shade that diffuses light with warm architectural glow.
