The armrests are capped in ebonized maple. The sofa and ottoman are newly upholstered in seafoam blue chenille. The ottoman's design matches the sofa both characteristic of industrial function driven furniture. The ottoman measures 25.5" w x 15.5" d x 15" ht

This set retains markings that shed light on its function. The US and caduceus symbol indicates that this sofa was made for the medical department of the US Military. Below that is the contract number and the name of the contractor, ABC Steel Equipment Co, and the date in which it was made, in this case 1952. Despite it's institutional leanings, this set is amazingly comfortable. See less
