The design is rooted in a tradition that values craftsmanship, reflecting the lasting influence of designers like Carl Malmsten, who modernized classic Swedish Gustavian forms. Likely produced in the 1950s or early 1960s, the chair has been expertly restored with new lacquer and fully upholstered in Perennials performance fabric “Shearling” boucle’ in a blue-gray “Shale” color.
