Beautiful rare Hermes pillows designed by Catherine Baschet who fabricated the iconic Hermès carré in 1990. Filled with intricate detail, her creation depicts several qalamdans, which are Persian boxes for storing pens. The motif features detailed illustrations of these ornate boxes, which were highly valued status symbols in 18th and 19th-century Iran. A celebration of Persian artistry and craftsmanship, connecting historical elegance with the luxury of the silk scarf.
These were purchased as a pair from the Paris Hermes flagship at 24 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honore in 1990. They have been in the same smoke free home and cared for ever since. Barely used. There are no visible marks on front or back. They come stuffed with removable down inserts. Gorgeous craftsmanship and impeccable condition..
