It is made of either walnut or cherry wood with a wonderful warm patina. This is a two part piece featuring a lower desk section with a large drawer and an upper section with two glass front doors opening to an adjustable shelf and 3 small drawers below them. The piece features simple brass hardware and a scalloped apron below the main drawer. The leather desk is weathered and worn which only adds to the age, beauty and character of this piece.The desk shelf pulls in and out for use. The piece also features old wooden nails that you see all over the piece and adds additional character and charm to this piece. I have this in my entry way with art hung above it and it is the perfect place to store keys and mail and all the necessities as you run in and out of your home.
