This remarkable antique French marble and bronze paperweight captures the enduring grandeur of Napoleon Bonaparte with exceptional artistry and detail. Beautifully crafted, it features a finely sculpted Napoleon-style bicorne hat resting upon a richly veined marble base, accented with intricate bronze embellishments that reflect the elegance of 19th-century craftsmanship. Beneath the hat lies a bronze scroll gracefully inscribed with the names of Napoleon’s most celebrated victories — Marengo, Austerlitz, and Varna — paying homage to his unmatched military prowess.
Measuring 5.75 inches wide, 3.25 inches deep, and 3.5 inches high, and weighing approximately 3 pounds, it perfectly blends artistry, history, and refinement. The hat is hinged and lifts up to reveal a circular cavity to insert a glass liner for pen ink. There is currently no liner present.
