Viktor Tischler was born in Vienna - Austria in 1890. His lovely and impressive works are popular and difficult to find. Tischler spent many years of his artistic life in France and in 1941 he briefly emigrated to the United States.
His works are versatile and include a number of differ mediums with subject matters that include portraits, still life and landscapes. Tischler’s paintings are shown in various Austrian and international museums.
The lovely image is a combination of pen - pastel and watercolor. It is pencil signed in the bottom right hand corner - "V Tischler".
This mixed medium painting was recently framed behind museum glass - under an acid free mat board. The paper has no rips - holes or stains. The frame is a Vintaged - gilt wood frame with a black band on the interior. It is ready to hang.
