The surrounding frame is wood , but the insert glass area in the front appears to be some sort or hard plastic . I am not certain and only way to tell is to scrub the surface of the pain . I got the hint from the missing paint on the round knobs around the mirror , also the area does not feel like wood . Highly glazed paint . The mirror is sort of concave. See less
