Dust Jackets are somewhat brittle and thin. Dust Jackets are somewhat brittle and thin. All are chipped and many are age cracked with missing pieces but remain largely intact. There is some bumping of the head and foot of a couple of volumes, a corner bumped, a spot on one cover, and finger marks on an FFEP but for the most part, they are exceptionally clean, unworn, in very good condition. This is the Battle Report Series, the first book-length treatment for the public, with hitherto restricted materials. Account of the US Navy's role in WW2 & the Korean War. Includes: B/W pls/photogravures., maps, appends., indexes, awards & casualty lists.
These books written by the novelists, educators, journalists, and scientists, are a rare glimpse into the decade of the Greatest Generation. They have held up against the test of time.
Very Fine reference set.
Complete sets are scarce and those with Original Dust Jackets are very rare, indeed.
