This bronze was … Read more This is a wonderful large bronze sculpture statue of a Thoroughbred Horse standing on a fancy plinth. This bronze was produced by the Maitland - Smith Company in the 1980"s. It was probably produced in the Philippines, where they produce other bronzes during that time. These were produced in very small limited edition which makes them very rare and seldom seen offered for sale. It retains it's original brown patina and does have a small spot where the bronze is slightly seen. This is probably from being polished over the years but does not distract from its original condition. The piece measures 20"L x 8"D x 29"H. The piece has also been recognized by a Maitland - Smith representative who worked with them for over 15 years. See less

It is very hard and sometimes impossible to obtain a piece like this because they were produced in very small additions. This piece is very impressive for any bronze or horse collector.
