This set of prints are part of Jean-Marc Nattier’s (17 March 1685 – 7 November 1766) series of female portraitures of women in and around the Court of Louis XV. He highlighted the latest in fashion. This pair Includes: Madame de la Porte 433-b Limited Edition Comtesse de Dillieres Limited Edition #443-a. Numbers noted on back.
Madame de la Porte originally painted in 1754.
Comptesse de Tillieres was painted in 1755.
Jean-Marc Nattier (1685–1766) was a French Rococo painter famous for his portraits of the ladies of King Louis XV's court. He was the official portraitist for the king's daughters from 1745, and his most famous works are portraits of members of the French aristocracy, such as Madame de Pompadour, Mme. de Tillières, and the Princesses de France.
