Arthur B. Davies (American, 1862-1928), "Twins," charcoal and chalk on paper, signed lower left, estate stamp to verso sheet, matted and framed under glass.
Arthur Bowen Davies was an important American advocate of modern art in the early 20th century. A member of The Eight, his work was acquired by important collectors such as Duncan Phillips of the Phillips Collection and Abby Aldrich Rockefeller for the Museum of Modern Art. Additionally, Davies was one of the principal organizers of the 1913 Armory Show.
