This listing is for a Depression Era portrait painting of an American family.
The painting depicts a young man in center, with parents on both sides. The young man leans gently on the table behind. A southwestern style design can be seen on the wall behind the trio. An equestrian themed painting hangs on the right hand side. The mother holds flowers while the father sits at the dining table.
This oil on canvas painting is a unique example of social realism from the Depression Era.
It is signed "Buckner" on the lower left corner.
The painting comes in a nice wooden frame.
